Kansas, Religion, and Child Custody
The Wild Hunt, which has made quite a effort to cover cases in which pagan parents have had their religion used against them in custody disputes, brings news of a case in which the Kansas Supreme Court ruled that religious belief, or the lack there of, was beyond the ability of the courts to consider in child custody cases.
While this case involved a Jehovah’s Witness (a maligned group that is responsible for a huge number of religious freedom cases making it to the Supreme Court), it is hopeful that this case will be applied to pagan religions as well.
